Jay Richmond

Jay has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and has played a key role in developing Origin’s reputation since 2010. As Chief Construction Officer, Jay oversees a variety of commercial projects as a project executive by managing the construction team, design team, consultants and client from the conceptual phase through the project close out phase. Jay’s leadership and mentoring has been a key driver to Origin’s growth as a commercial interiors specialist.

As a licensed State of Florida Certified General Contractor, developed leader and master communicator, Jay has led extensive projects to thorough completion, while creating long standing client relationships. He has a deep understanding of the client’s perspective as it relates to their construction project, which he uses to not only have his teams work to the best of their abilities in servicing his clients, but also going the distance to ensure the client is successful in every way. From contract management and project budgeting to scheduling and sequencing the construction trades, Jay leverages his experience and vast local subcontractor network as well as City Building official relationships.

Outside of the office, Jay supports his wife, Mady Richmond in their family business Mady’s Dance Factory. Jay is an active member of the BNI Biscayne Connections group, community and outreach events. Jay and May spend leisure time traveling, running, competing with each other on Peloton, working out, being food enthusiasts and spending quality time as a family
